Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi's Big Mistake!

One of the key turning points in the third Star Wars Prequel could've changed EVERYTHING for the Jedi.
At the end of Star Wars Episode III, The Revenge of the Sith, there's a scene where Ben / Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda return to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to re-configure the beacon so that it warns any remaining Jedi not to come back to the Temple. In that scene, Obi-Wan decides to review security camera footage of the previous day so that he could see what happened.
Although Yoda warns him that it would be painful to watch, Obi-Wan he insists he needs to see it with his own eyes and within seconds he not only sees footage of Anakin pledging himself to the Dark Side of The Force, but he even sees him slaying many of the Jedi, including all the Younglings. After viewing the footage, they leave the temple, at the same time as Palpatine appears before the Senate to make a case against the Jedi for treason.
Why would they leave the recordings in the Temple? They could've used them to clear the reputation of the Jedi, and prove that Palpatine wasn't telling the truth.
The Star Wars Universe has something called The HoloNet, which is something like the Internet. Even if they didn't play the recordings before the Senate, they could've spread them on the HoloNet and let the entire Galaxy know exactly what the Sith were all about.
