Browsers Without Extensions, Plug-ins, or Toolbars

You will never find a more wretched hive of scum an villainy than inside the web browser on your computer.
As a tech guy, I get calls every day from people telling me their computer isn't working the way it should. More often than not, the problems are related to something that hijacked their web browser by adding either an extension, plug-in, or a toolbar.
Even when the problem has nothing to do with a virus, all those extensions, plug-ins and toolbars cause countless problems. The trouble is, typical computers are loaded with them and most people don't release how useless, if not harmful they are.
In the photo at the top of this post you'll see an actual screen capture of the extensions settings from my own web browser. The point is... there are no extensions, because you don't need them.
This is because Apple does a great job of creating a browser that has everything you need to surf the web without needing any add-ons. All browsers should be like that.
Apple has a feature to add extensions, but just about everything is built-in, so you don't need any.
Thankfully, Apple doesn't allow toolbars either, which is great because I HATE TOOLBARS! They not only take up space, but they slow down your computer and they often monitor everything you do online and potentially use that information to target you with unwanted ads.
I've seen some browsers with a dozen or more toolbars stacked up one on top of the other, leaving less than a third of the screen for the page you are viewing, and most of the time, the computer owner has no idea how to turn them off.

Extensions and plug-ins are just as bad, and in some cases they are worse because unlike a toolbar, you might not even know they are there.
If your browser seems slower than it should be, why not check your browser settings and remove all the extensions you don't recognize. Don't worry about deleting something you actually need. Chances are, you don't. Even if you accidentally delete something you may need, don't worry, it's normally easy to get it back. When in doubt, delete every plug-in, toolbar and extension, then surf the web for a while and see if you have any problems. Chances are, you'll discover they were useless.
If they're so useless, you may be wondering why are there so many of them.
The answer is simple, they earn money. Most of them have some kind of search box. Every time you use that box, it brings you to a search results page that contains advertising. Typical ads earn a under a dollar for each click, but some searches, they can earn several dollars every time you click an ad. If they can get a million people to use their toolbar, they have the potential to earn millions each day.
Every web browser should have an option to block the installation of extensions, plug-ins, and toolbars. This may sound restrictive, but it works beautifully on Apple's iOS on iPads, and iPhones, which have everything built-in. This created controversy when Apple even blocked things like Adobe Flash and Shockwave. People complained, but deep down, it was the right move. Apple makes sure that Safari supports all the trending industry standards, and they alone make sure that everything works as it should. The release updates from time to time, but you never need to install anything else.
