I'm Planning on Having OCD Starting Next Week

I LOVE people with OCD, so next week, I'm going to start becoming Obsessive Compulsive.
Think about how cool it would be if I were obsessive compulsive. Each day would be full of all sorts of cool rituals like when to eat, drink, sleep, shower, and even when to use the toilet. That would be awesome!
I've been thinking about this plan for a long time, so I want to make sure I do it right, so I'm going to start off by doing some simple rituals like deciding where I'll put my iPhone each night, being sure I keep the same 45 degree angle from the lamp. I may need a protractor for the first few days until I get the position just right.
From there, I'll move on to a few more advanced rituals, like picking a day each week to sharpen my pencils. This is a pretty important ritual, so I'm going to want to make sure I nail this one just right. Having the wrong pencil sharpening day would mess up my whole plan.
Once I nail the first few rituals, I can start phasing in some of the more advanced rituals like organizing the kitchen and bathroom. I'm particularly looking forward to creating some great rituals in those rooms because there are so many possible things to obsess over.
Suffice it to say, if I'm going to start having OCD, I need to go the extra mile and actually plan on a specific date to start all my rituals, so I'm going to pick a Saturday to do it. Since today is already Saturday, I'm going to make it next Saturday, because it may take me a few days to get into the swing of things, and I certainly wouldn't want to start on a Tuesday... or even Thursday! That would drive me nuts. Technically, it wouldn't matter which day I pick today, but once I'm in the OCD mindset, I'm sure I'll thank myself for picking a Saturday.
Does this sound crazy to you? It should. That's the point.
Deciding to become OCD is just as crazy as asking somebody with OCD to start acting "Normal", yet each day millions of people with OCD are asked to do exactly that. They are constantly reminded that they're "Crazy" and that they should change.
To somebody with OCD tendencies, their daily rituals are part of who they are. It's what keeps them "sane". They feel uncomfortable with change, so forcing them to step outside their comfort zone is just as crazy as a "Normal" person to deciding to have OCD.
The majority of people with OCD tendencies live normal lives without their rituals causing any harm to themselves or the people around them, so unless they have harmful rituals, think twice before you pressure them to change who they are. I'm sure they won't ask you to be like them.
You may find out that you love them more... just the way they are.
