Crowds at every other sport are loud and energetic.
One of the most remarkable things about tennis and golf is that although they both attract large crowds, you can hear a pin drop while the game is in play. Why is that?
I realize the players feel it's distracting, but you can just as easily say the same thing about just about every other sport, yet those players are actually energized by the sound of the crowd. In fact, it's very common to see a crowd not only boo and shout at baseball games, but they even wave objects specifically to distract the opposing pitcher, yet when somebody sneezes at a tennis match, everyone, including the players will stop what they're doing to try to find out who did it. If the sneezing continues, they'll probably ask you to leave.
