Have you ever wondered why the Imperial Stormtroopers in Star Wars wear useless armor? Anyone who's ever seen the movies know the armor doesn't seem to offer any sort of protection, especially from things like blasters.
You would think that all that armor would have some kind of purpose other than making them look cool. The rebels don't wear armor, and there's a good reason for that. Stormtrooper armor is bulky, inflexible, and of course, useless.
