Washing Machines Need a Mildew Guard Feature To Rinse Automatically If You Wait Too Long to Empty Them

Did you ever forget to take your wash out from the night before?... Hello, Mildew Stink!
It's been a long day, but you decide to do one more load of laundry before bed. All you need to do is move your load from the washer to the dryer and then it's off to bed.
Somehow it slips your mind. You fall asleep and in the morning you dart off to work. Lunchtime comes and you get some ketchup on your shirt, and just then, you realize your damp laundry is still in the wash from the night before!
By the time you get home from work, your laundry has "That Smell" and a scattering of dark mildew spots. You run the wash through again, but since it wasn't a white load, you can't bleach out the stains and there's still a bit of the mildew odor. There are a variety of ways to get rid of the mildew, but the best solution is to prevent it in the first place.
Making sure you take the items out on time is the best way, but wouldn't it be great if there was a foolproof way to prevent it?
All this could be avoided if the washing machine senses when we forgot to remove the load... then runs an extra rinse cycle every few hours until we finally remove the load
Today's modern washing machines all run by a computer. It would be easy for the manufacturers to create an automatic "Mildew Guard" feature that runs the rinse cycles.
