Reinvent The Wheel? YES. There's Always Room For Improvement.

When people tell me I'm reinventing the wheel, I say... Thanks!
Entrepreneur's, inventors and artists hear it every day.
Why are you working on that?
Don't you know it's been done before?
Isn't there already a something like that on the market?
My advice. Do it anyway.
Don't let anyone tell you that you can't reinvent the wheel, build a better mousetrap or improve on something. There is no such thing as perfection, so everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, can be improved.
Only by looking at the status-quo and saying "I can improve it" do things actually change and improve. As a society we MUST reinvent the wheel, we MUST re-think today's technology and ideas if we want to progress.
Thankfully, there are still rebels out there. As Apple says "The Crazy Ones. The people who think different."
Without people like that, many of the innovations we have today never would've existed.
Amazon won't last, nobody likes mail order
Who needs Facebook? Everyone's on MySpace.
Why LinkedIn? Everyone's on Facebook.
Who needs...
... another idea site?
... another coupon site?
... another accounting program?
... another Blogging platform?
... another email marketing platform?
... another blog about cats?
... another review site?
... another baby coupon site?
I do.
Here's the full text of the Apple Commercial that inspired this post.
Heres to the crazy ones.
The misfits.
The rebels.
The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They're not fond of rules and they have no respect for the status quo.
You can quote them,
disagree with them,
glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you cant do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They push the human race forward.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones,
we see genius
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world,
are the ones who do.
