TouchScreen Macs

Isn't it strange that Apple still doesn't make a Mac with a touchscreen?
Sometimes when I post a new idea, it takes me quite a while to explain why it makes sense. After all, I'm the guy that says we should be able to drop a package off at FedEx, UPS or the Post Office, with nothing more than your email address or phone number on the box. Yes, I still think that's not only possible, but will eventually be mainstream. Let's just say, you read it here first.
Anyhow, do I even need to explain this? Touch screen computers have been around since the early 80s.
While it may be true that they were mainly used on things like point of sale computers and kiosks, when the iPhone and iPad came out, touch screens are now mainstream. Every SmartPhone and tablet on the market uses a touch screen as the primary way to run Apps.
When Microsoft saw this trend, they made touch screens a big part of Windows 8, which led to a large number of new Windows computers with touch screens. The problem with Microsoft however is that they went a bit too far, by actually making it difficult to use Windows 8 without a touch screen. Thankfully, they adjusted some of those features with Windows 8.1 and the upcoming Windows 10.
Integrating a touch screen into a the Mac would make it easy for App developers to build Apps optimized to run equally on iPads and Macs. Since many Mac owners already use the Magic TrackPad, which is a multi-touch trackpad, many Apps already support common touch gestures like pinch to zoom, rotate and scroll.
Every six months or so, Apple releases a new batch of products, the next round of MacBooks are due in the spring. Hopefully, we will finally see a Mac we can reach out and touch.
