REAL Digital Business Cards

I don't know about you, but I hate business cards.
Just the other day, somebody asked me for my business card. Normally, I try to keep a few in my wallet, but I barely have room for two, so when I reached into my wallet... I didn't have any left. So, I wrote my information on the back of a piece of scrap paper. That's not quite the first impression I wanted to leave.
That incident made me think about the benefits of a Digital Business Card. If iPhones had a feature to send, receive, and organize Digital Business Cards, he and I could've just swapped cards in couple of seconds, and neither of us would worry about running out of cards, or losing a card that somebody gave us.
Before Smartphones came along, Palm had a feature that allowed people to beam contact information between devices, but frankly, that's not quite the same as swapping a REAL business card, because there's no graphics or fancy typestyles.
For many people, a professional looking business card is a critical tool for standing out from their competition. So, the only way this idea could become mainstream is for a company like Apple to adopt a standard for the card itself that does more than send and receive contact information. It needs to allow people to create truly professional looking cards that look just as impressive as their paper versions. Because it's a digital format, the cards should also be able to have direct links to phone numbers, email addresses and web sites. Taken to the next level, whenever information changes, the card could change too, including the graphics.
Although the graphics, and fonts would be completely creative, there would still be standard data elements like names, addresses, phone numbers, etc, that can be directly imported as a contact, if you want.
Naturally, everyone's card wallet would be stored in the cloud, so the cards would be available on the iPad, iPhone, Mac, and on iCloud.Com.
