Memorial Day - Remember Those Who Paid For Your Freedom

It's sad, but some people think of Memorial Day as just an excuse for a Bar-B-Que.
There are 2 holidays celebrated in the US that were specifically created to celebrate those who have served in the military, Veteran's Day and Memorial Day, yet there are a lot of people who don't understand the differences.
Veteran's Day was set aside to honor those who have served in the military. Veteran's Day gives us a chance to shake the hand of a Vet and say "Thank you for your service!". These brave people deserve more thanks and praise than they ever receive, because people are distracted by pointless sales in shopping malls and car dealerships.
Memorial Day is often confused with Veteran's Day, but it's entirely different. Unlike Veteran's Day, which honors everyone who has served in the military, Memorial Day honors those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives defending our country.
Since Memorial Day takes place just as the weather starts to warm up, many people are too distracted to even pay attention to the true meaning of the holiday. Here are some places where you can honor our fallen heroes and support the families they left behind.

cfsrf.org - the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization that was founded in October 2003 as a means of providing College Grants and Financial Assistance to surviving children and spouses of our U.S. military service members who have lost their lives in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
