A Video Web Site Showing How To Put Things Together

Some assembly required? Oh boy!
Back in the early 80s, I brainstormed the idea of creating a company that made VHS instruction videos that manufacturers would use instead of printed instructions. Like many of my ideas, I never took action, but for nearly a decade, I was convinced this was going to be the next big thing. By then just about everyone had a VCR, so it seemed obvious to me that printed instructions would be obsolete, because video instructions would be so much easier to follow.
Like most of the ideas I've had over the years, I eventually see somebody else come up with the same idea, so I assumed sooner or later there would be a company making videos to go inside boxes. Initially, I expected VHS tapes, but never saw even one thing I bought come with one. Then I expected to see DVDs, but that never happened either.
It's been over 30 years since I thought of it, but I assumed by now there would at least be a web site that has nothing but videos showing you how to put things together. Still none.
Now that the web is full of user generated content, I think it would be possible for somebody to create a website with millions of user generated videos showing people how to put together just about anything, including every single item at Ikea.
The hardest thing about putting something together is figuring out the instructions. Videos are easier.
Although I haven't seen a popular site like this, I'm 100% sure that there will be one some day. Odds are, it won't be from me, but like most of my ideas, I get great satisfaction when I see somebody eventually proving the idea is good.
