.Podcast Domain TLDs. A Direct Domain For Podcasters.

Have you noticed all the new alternatives to .Com domains?
Until recently, most major websites ended with .Com, Net, .Org, or a handful of country specific extensions such as .Co.Uk. Today, there are literally hundreds of alternatives, because of a new system created by the ICANN, the organization that regulates domain names.
The ICANN basically opened up the marketplace for companies to create their own Top Level Domains (TLDs), which are alternative domain extensions.
The idea behind the new TLDs is that website owners can pick an extension that directly relates to their business, to make it easier for search engines and consumers to know what kind of site it is. For example, a real estate agent can get their name with a .Realtor extension, dentists can get a .dentist name, or a photographer can get .photorgraphy.
The verdict is out about how popular these new TLDs will be, especially since some of them are way to similar. For example, it's pretty confusing that they approved .Accountant and .Accountants (plural), and lawyers could be .Esq, .Law, .Lawyer, .legal, or .attorney.
With all those duplicates, I wonder why nobody created a TLD for podcasts? There are millions of podcasts out there, so you would think it would make it easier for search engines and people to know a site represents a podcast if they had a .Podcast domain extension.
New TLDs are intended to give more descriptive extensions. The funny thing is the most popular new TLD is .XYZ.
My guess if somebody will eventually create a .Podcast registry. I'm sure they would sell a lot of domains.
