My Star Trek Bluetooth Communicator... It's Okay For Grown-Ups to Have "Toys" Too.

Some may call these toys. To me, they're much more than that.
I had a great little surprise in the mail today, a Star Trek Bluetooth Communicator from The Wand Company. I pre-ordered it almost a year ago this week and they finally started shipping it yesterday.
As soon as it arrived, I posted a quick unboxing video on my other YouTube channel (CouponPages):
I pre-ordered this nearly a year ago, and it finally arrived today... L-O-V-E IT!
This is definitely the best Star Trek Communicator I have ever owned. It's not only an authentic copy of a TOS Hero prop, but it WORKS!
It takes seconds to pair with your phone or other Bluetooth device, and once it's connected, you can not only answer and make calls, but it works as a bluetooth speaker.
It even has some cool sounds and voices when it's not paired.
One of the buttons is actually a tiny joystick, so you and do a ton of things with just two buttons. Slick indeed.
Another cool thing is how it works with Siri. When you hit the button, it says "Voice Control" and transfers over to your devices own built-in voice functionality, which is Siri on my iPhone. This means I can actually set up a contact called Scotty, and say "Call Scotty" and viola... it dials the phone.
I love the fact that The Wand Company not only strives to make authentic prop replicas, but they find a way to make them useful, like their Phaser, which can actually be used as a remote control.
Here's a more in-depth review and un-boxing along with a look at my other Magic Wand prop... the Star Trek Phaser Remote Control from The Wand Company.
Both units are considered the most true-to-life replicas of the original series "Hero" props.
