Star Wars: Is This How You Hide The Last Jedi?

If finding the last Jedi was so important in The Force Awakens, why didn't anyone look for Obi-Wan Kenobi?
The entire premise of the newest Star Wars movie was that both sides were desperately looking for Luke Skywalker because he was the last Jedi, and both sides were willing to make great sacrifices to find him.
If this was so important to them, it makes you wonder why nobody was looking for Obi-Wan / Ben Kenobi in the time between Episode III and IV (the original Star Wars). After all, Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader right after a major defeat at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi. You would think that Vader would search the entire galaxy to find him and see revenge, yet there's no indication he even bothered looking for him.
It's not like it would be hard finding him. Although he lived as a recluse on Tatooine, people knew him by name and he wore the traditional robes of a Jedi. If I were hiding from Darth Vader, you'd better believe I'd not only change my name, but I'd make sure that I didn't look at all like a Jedi.
If Darth Vader was looking for me, I'd have an entirely different name, and I'd probably wear Lederhosen.
