Amazon Should Get Rid of Alexa

Hey Siri... What is Amazon Alexa?
I don't think Siri can answer that question, mainly because Amazon can't even answer it. For more than 20 years, Amazon Alexa has been the name of a service that provides traffic statistics to website owners, however for some strange reason, Amazon decided to give the Personal Assistant inside their Amazon Echo product line the exact same name.
One of the fundamental goals of building a brand is making sure the name itself is uniquely identifiable with the product or service, which makes you wonder why they decided to call their new Personal Assistant, Alexa. Of all the thousands of possible names Amazon could've used for their new Personal Assistant, why pick a name that they're already using for another product? What were they thinking?
If they're going to continue using Alexa as the name for their Personal Assistants, I think they should either rename their traffic ranking service or simply get rid of it. For what it's worth, I think their traffic ranking service is inaccurate, antiquated and useless. Good riddance.
