Judge Wapner Taught Us To Get Things In Writing... in the 80s!
Judge Wapner asks "Do you have anything in writing?" One guy says "We have an Oral Contract", the other guy says "No we Don't". Unless there was a reliable witness, or some other evidence, guess what the Judge thought about the Oral Contract?
