Sometimes We Are Neither Winners... or Losers.

Someone from another country watching a group of people playing Frisbee will eventually ask... "Who's winning?"
Our society loves winners. There's nothing wrong with that, but I've noticed that as times goes by, the emphasis on winning seems to get stronger and stronger. I'm not implying that we should strive to be losers, it's just that we often forget that not everything is a contest. We don't need to win, or lose.
They key point is that it's perfectly fine to just do things because we like to do them, not be be the best, or the worst. Just because.
I hope by now you realize I'm not just talking about sports. Take this blog for instance. I've been posting a new idea every day for quite some time now. An outsider may wonder why I do it. Some people may think that building a site with no commercial value is a waste of time. Some might think an idea site that doesn't rank in top 100 on Google for when you search for "Ideas", is a failure. The fact is, I do it because I enjoy it, regardless of what other people think of it.
Posting a new idea each day is a challenge. There were days when I came home late, and I literally fell asleep at the keyboard, but somehow I found the time to put my thoughts of the day on this blog, and that makes me feel good. So, in a sense, I always win.
On a personal note. This blog is now at a crossroads. In the coming weeks, I will be making three major changes to the blog.
First, I will be adding a comments feature, so people can join the conversation about each daily idea.
Second, I will be creating a way for people to submit their own ideas, so they can get the same degree of satisfaction I get by sharing their ideas in public.
Third, I will be turning this blog into a Video Blog (Vlog). Video will add an entirely new dimension to the ideas, and I hope to eventually incorporate some of the older ideas in video format.
