Kosher Bacon... Sort of.

A lot of people who order Kosher meals aren't Jewish.
From time to time I post ideas that are completely stupid. This isn't one of those ideas. I'm serious.
A few years ago, I shared a plane ride with a friend who ordered a Kosher meal on a long flight to California. What struck me as odd was that my friend wasn't Jewish. When I asked him why, he simply said the Kosher meals tasted better. As it turns out, my friend wasn't the only one who felt that way. Apparently, there are a lot of gentiles who order Kosher meals on planes and at catered events, for the exact same reason.
Obviously Kosher meals don't contain pork, but they also don't contain all sorts of other ingredients that not only make them taste better, but more healthful. Kosher regulations go beyond that, including better cuts of meat, less fat, plus better handling, inspection and preparation of every ingredient.
Most people would agree that food suppliers and kitchens that serve Kosher foods are of higher quality, and as such serve higher quality food.
While the USDA has standards for food ingredients, storage, and preparation, Kosher Certification is done independently, by a variety of organizations who apply much higher standards. As the old Hebrew National Beef Frank ads used to say "We're Kosher... and have to answer to an even higher authority". Given a choice between two products in a supermarket from unknown brands, looking for the seal of the Orthodox Union or a "K" on the label makes your choice easier.
So, the point here is to create a "Pseudo Kosher" standard, with all the other regulations for food handling and ingredients, with one big exception... adding pork to the menu. It may sound pretty stupid, but if you think of it, why not create a series of standards for quality and preparation that also include pork?
I'm completely aware that people who follow a strict Kosher diet won't eat "Kosher Bacon". This idea has nothing to do with REAL Kosher diets. Basically, I'm saying there's room for other independent organizations to create similar standards that include pork.
