These iOS Apps Are Missing From The Mac

Apple has done an amazing job of integrating the Mac with the iPhone and iPad. Here are a few things they left out.
One of the great things about owning a Mac is that almost everything integrates perfectly with your iOS devices, especially after they introduced "Handoff", allowing you to start an activity on one device, and immediately hand off to another. For example, you can start working on a spreadsheet while sitting on a bus using your iPhone, then immediately pick up where you left off on your Mac when you get home.
Because of this, you take it for granted that there are some iOS Apps that don't exist on OS X on the Mac. For example, the Clock, i Tunes U, Activity, Weather and Videos.
Even without Handoff, these are all useful Apps that should exist on both platforms.
While some could argue that the Clock and Weather Apps are not essential, because you can see the clock on the screen at all times, and the current weather is shown in the "Today" tab in Notifications, those are not nearly as useful as the full featured Apps in iOS. A full-featured Clock App should have the ability to set timers, alarms and run a stopwatch, for example. By integrating Handoff, a Timer set on your Mac should handoff to your iOS devices and vice versa.
The Weather App should offer 10 day forecasts in the same cities you configured on iOS, so you can see them all at a glance.
I've already written about the missing Activity App, but they still haven't released one. I love using my Apple Watch to record my activity, but to I'd rather track my progress reports on a big screen.
Also missing are iTunes U and Videos. It's very odd that both are missing. Apple used to have a media player called Front Row that gave you quick access to all your videos, but that option was discontinued in 2011.
