Box Zippers

No tape? No problem.
Here's a simple idea. Instead of taping and re-taping boxes, why not zip and unzip?
Unless you use tape, you normally have to criss-cross the top flaps in order to keep whatever is inside from falling out. I've always hated doing that. As you fold and tuck the flaps, you wear them out and you end up with a box that isn't exactly sealed. A zipper is stronger, and it's much easier to open and close.
I'm not suggesting this as a replacement for traditional tape, but it's definitely a better solution for boxes that you intend to reuse.
One cool thing about a Box Zipper is that it doesn't necessarily have to be a straight path down a seam. You could create a round opening or any shape for that matter.
Boxes with zippers would be great for product packaging too. They grab your attention, and let you know that the sender is literally thinking outside the box, and that whatever is inside the box is pretty special.
