Do You REALLY NEED a GIANT Phone?

Why the heck are so many people buying GIANT mobile phones?
I have to admit. I was one of them. I drank the Apple Kool-Aid when it first came out and from that moment on, I kept making excuses for why I thought it was better than my old iPhone 5.
You need to use two hands, because it's harder to hold and you can't reach the whole screen. It doesn't fit into most pockets, so you tend to take it out and put it on a desk or table instead of keeping it with you at all times, which means you miss calls and messages. I can go on and one, but suffice it to say, there were a lot of things I was able to do with a smaller phone that were too clumsy with the bigger models.
Thankfully, I stopped making excuses and traded it in for the iPhone SE, which has most of the same features as the current iPhone models such as 4K video, Live Photos, etc., except it's the exact same size as my old iPhone 5.
The iPhone SE was a huge success for Apple, leading to shortages because they were selling them faster than they could make them. Obviously, I wasn't the only one to "Downgrade" back to the smaller screen.
The strange thing is that Apple originally didn't want to make a big screen phone, but started making the larger models because competitors like Samsung were selling millions of them and consumers were demanding larger models.
Meanwhile, 10 years ago, consumers kept buying smaller and smaller models, so it's pretty strange that big phones are popular again. I think the trend will eventually reverse or balance out. Not everyone needs a big phone. As for me, I'm glad I made the switch. I just hope the next generation iPhones like the iPhone 7 come in smaller sizes too.
