How to save money on razor blades

Here's a quick tip to make your razor blades last 3-6 times longer.
Dry off your blades right after you use them, and keep them away from water as much as possible.
Believe it or not, what causes the most damage to your blade isn't just regular wear and tear, but oxidation of the blades due to moisture. Any moisture that remains on your blade after you shave is slowly eating away the edge.
3 easy ways to keep moisture from your blades, and extend their lifespan.
1. Right after shaving, shake as much water off the blade as possible. You'll be surprised at how much water is wedged inside today's multi-blade cartridges. If you tap it on the edge, avoid hitting the blades, or you'll damage the blades or whatever you hit.
2. To get even more moisture out of the cracks... blow on it.
3. Absorb any remaining moisture by holding it against a tissue, cotton ball or any fabric. Once again, try not to put pressure on the blades.
I've been doing this for years, and I can often use the same blade every day for months before it gets noticeably dull. If you want to extend it even longer, some people even protect the blades from oxidation in the air, by storing the blades in a glass filled with mineral oil, which repels the water, and even keeps air out.
